History

Since 1981 I have spent much of my working life as a freelance architect and designer. To date, I have worked on over 200 projects. Although I am a sole practioneer, in reality I have discovered that there is no such thing: every project requires collaboration with others to make something happen.

Being a freelance designer has given me the flexibility to work on a variety of projects over the last 30 years, and enabled me to take opportunities when they have arisen unexpectantly. For example, starting a bicycle business, creating a music venue, patenting a bar system, and spending seven months driving through South America.

It has broadened my experience of life and I hope made me a better Designer.
